All our brass name tags
are cut to military spec size, with 5/16 inch clutch posts, and sealed
with a baked epoxy finish to resist tarnishing. They are router-engraved to a
depth of .008 to .012 inch in condensed single-line block (all capital letters)
and the letters are filled with black automotive-grade lacquer. The typical
single-line name tag can hold roughly 20 letters and spaces.
Variations: You can request a different typestyle, but this usually results in "less room" for text. For example, if you want upper- and lower-case Helvetica type, the "islands" in the lower-case e's vanish, resulting in an ugly mess. You can also request a different color-fill on the tag (it's usually blue) This is done with an oil-based enamel and requires an extra day of drying time, so plan ahead if you want this. Sales Tax applies if we're shipping to a Texas address, but that's a small price for living in such a great state. |
